About Us
HISTORY
The Signcraft Group story began in the 1970’s with Sam King. Sam had been working in the signage industry for several years and had noticed a consistent lack of service from the established signage companies across Australia. As a result, Sam set about creating a company that would be able to consistently supply and install quality signage Australia-wide.
In Sam’s own words, he established the business by "performing a common task uncommonly well." This business principle has formed the foundation of Signcraft’s success today.
Initially, servicing Victoria, Signcraft soon evolved into The Signcraft Group, expanding its manufacturing and installation base to New South Wales in 1992, South Australia in 1994, Queensland in 2004 and Western Australia in 2010.
The Signcraft Group has also made significant steps towards greater vertical integration through the creation of two separate business entities; SignGuard and SignCorp.
SignGuard was established in 2002 and is Signcraft’s maintenance division. A fully independent business unit, SignGuard specalise in preventative cleaning, maintenance and repairs of signage Australia wide and internationally.
SignCorp is our specification arm established in 2004. Specializing in the digital & LED signage, SignCorp is heavily involved in the creation of innovative signage solutions and cutting edge products.
The most recent addition to The Signcraft Group is that of Signcraft China and India. As with many other industries in the past decade, Signcraft has begun its global expansion through joint ventures. This development offers The Signcraft Group the ability to further expand its scope of service to Asia and beyond, while improving its cost base and passing on the benefits to our loyal clients.
